Our team seeks a proactive Business Development Executive who thrives on driving revenue growth, building client relationships, and closing deals, especially within the HR consulting sector. Ideal for self-starters who excel in dynamic environments and enjoy building from the ground up.

Work Mode: Remote (Full-Time, Mon–Fri, 9 am–5 pm)
Industry: HR Consulting
Experience: 2–3 years in B2B sales/business development
Salary: ₦150,000 + sales commission

Key Responsibilities

Market & Account Research

  • Map target industries and high-value accounts
  • Identify key decision-makers and buying committees

Prospecting & Lead Generation

  • Execute outbound campaigns (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn messaging)
  • Qualify inbound leads and referrals

Consultative Sales

  • Run discovery calls to understand client needs and objectives
  • Craft and deliver tailored pitches, product demos, and proposals

Negotiation & Closing Deals

  • Draft scopes of work, pricing proposals, and service agreements
  • Negotiate terms balancing client satisfaction with profit margins

Pipeline Management & Reporting

  • Maintain CRM or spreadsheet with deal stages, win probabilities, and next steps
  • Report weekly/monthly on KPIs like leads generated, proposals issued, conversion rates, and deal sizes

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Handoff projects to delivery teams
  • Gather post-sale feedback, seek referrals, and support account management

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze win/loss data to refine messaging and targeting strategies
  • Suggest new service packages or pricing models based on market feedback

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 2–3 years of B2B sales/business development experience, ideally in HR consulting
  • Track record of sourcing and closing new accounts
  • Proficient in CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Consultative selling approach, with the ability to navigate multi-stakeholder deals
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable operating in ambiguous situations
  • Existing network among HR leaders or corporate marketing teams
  • Data-driven mindset—comfortable tracking metrics and generating insights
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, willing to wear multiple hats
